Never Stop Giving Thanks

October 14, 2019 Preacher: Amanda Bakale

Topic: Prayer, Thankfulness Scripture: Ephesians 1:15–23

For many people, Thanksgiving Day is about getting together with family, eating a big meal, and then maybe falling asleep on the sofa while watching football.  Worship isn't really part of the routine.  As Christians, however, thanksgiving is one of the cornerstones of our faith; what better day than Thanksgiving Day to give thanks to God for all his blessings to us?

In this passage, the apostle Paul gave thanks for the Ephesians, for their faith in Jesus.  More than that, he said "I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers".  Paul's prayers in his letters are filled with thanksgiving for God's grace in Christ Jesus, and this passage is no exception.  Let us follow Paul's example--let us never stop praying for each other, and giving thanks for each other.
