Career Opportunities

Community Christian Reformed Church of Kitchener Ontario is a large multigenerational church.

Our first concern is the discipleship of every member through their relationships with God, each other and our community.

Positions available

Pastor - Preaching and Pastoral Care

Community Christian Reformed Church is seeking a full-time Pastor of Preaching and Pastoral Care to help shepherd and care for our congregation. We seek an engaging and experienced ordained pastor with a passion for the Word and their Church. This position consists of taking the lead in the ministry of the Word, Sacraments, and Pastoral care, in collaboration with the pastoral team. Administrative duties, participation in various committees, and overseeing the Worship Coordinator is also required.

We seek the direction of the Lord’s will for the future of our church. The congregation of CCRC recently participated in a survey that identified some desired characteristics for our new Pastor. These include a passion for preaching engaging sermons, compassion, ability to work with people of all ages, and a desire to work in a team ministry.

This is a unique position as Community CRC is led by an equal team of three pastors who work together to support the needs of our congregation. This team model has been working well over the past number of years and we look forward to be continually strengthened and led by it.

There is a large congregation at Community CRC containing a balanced demographic of ages. We strive to provide ministry options for every age and ability at CCRC. These options range from nursery care and Sunday School on Sunday mornings to youth ministries, Coffee Break, LAFF (Life After Fifty-Five), and Friendship during the week.

Community CRC is located in Kitchener, Ontario, a fast-growing city one hour west of Toronto. Kitchener is the largest city within the Waterloo Region which has a population of about 600,000. The Region has a diverse combination of industries and institutions and has the third-highest employment rate in Canada. It has two high tech universities and a college where many start-ups begin.

If you feel God leading you to this ministry position, please review the CCRC website and email careers@ccrc.on.ca for the complete church profile packet.
