Interim Pastor - Preaching and Pastoral Care 

  • Community Christian Reformed Church is seeking a full-time Interim Pastor of Preaching and Pastoral Care to help shepherd and care for our congregation for a one year term.  

    This is a unique interim position as Community CRC is led by an equal team of three pastors who work together to support the needs of our congregation. This interim position would serve alongside the other two pastors in the vacancy of the third pastoral position (Pastor – Preaching and Pastoral Care). Your pastoral teammates would be the Rev. Amanda Bakale who has served as our Pastor-Faith Formation since 2015 and Rev. Tom Bomhof who is joining us at the end August 2021 as our Pastor-Mission and Communities.  

    This interim position consists of taking the lead in the ministry of the Word and Sacraments, as well as pastoral care, in close collaboration with the pastoral team. The interim pastor would be expected to preach at least twice a month with baptisms and Lord’s Supper shared between the pastoral team.  

    Administrative duties, participation in various committees, and overseeing the Worship Coordinator is also part of the position.
