Church Shopping? What Do You Hear?

June 10, 2018 Series: The Belgic Confession

Topic: Creeds and Confessions Scripture: Jeremiah 23:16–32, Romans 10:12–15

In this day and age, people tend to search for a church to belong to the same way they might search for a good restaurant or a good auto mechanic. As denominations have proliferated, denominational loyalty has declined in parallel. Unfortunately, many people end up choosing a church for shallow reasons, without discernment of the message that the church in question is preaching.

More important than a large, active youth group, or a stylish sanctuary, or entertaining praise groups, the most important aspect of a church is what it preaches. Does it preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or does it preach something less than that?
